Job Description: Horticultural Assistant/Order Puller
Primary Duties: Responsible for preparing clients orders by pulling plants, of the correct items and the correct quantities as detailed on the pick list. Paying particular attention to the quality of the plants ensuring standards are met, whilst working within a timely manner. Ensure clear communication with the sales team.
Other Responsibilities: Keeping the nursery tidy and presentable, laying stock out ensuring it is put in the correct place, maintaining plant health for example watering, pruning, feeding when and where necessary. Loading and unloading of lorries in a timely manner, ensuring all health and safety measures are adhered to. Responsible for making sure plants are labelled correctly. Collating clients orders. Other duties around the nursery as and when required by management. Some heavy lifting is required.
Skills and attributes required: Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent. We require a hardworking individual who is able to work in a team and also use their own initiative. Must be able to respond well to pressure and have good time management skills. Candidates will also require their own transport.
Preferred skills: Knowledge of the horticultural industry or a keen interest in plants.
